Whether you're new to the city and wanting to explore, hosting friends, or are a long time Chi-city native, these 5 attractions will never lose their iconic status.
1- Millennium Park
Home to the iconic 'Bean,' Millennium Park is the OG of parks downtown. During the winter you can skate under the Bean at the pop-up ice rink and during the summer there's almost always live music, including Lollapalooza.
2 - Art Institute of Chicago
Another great spot packed with a historic feel but is always presenting new exhibits to incorporate a modern-day touch. The institute is home to over 300,000 pieces of unique artwork!
3- Lincoln Park Zoo
I love that this spot made the list because walking through the zoo during the summer is one of my favorite things to do. Especially because it's free! HOLLA! The zoo is located directly in the middle of Lincoln Park and houses over 1,000 interesting animals.
4- Wrigley Field
One of the most iconic professional baseball stadiums next to Yankee Stadium and Fenway! Not only is Wrigley Field such a cool experience but the atmosphere surrounding the field is even better! Bars and restaurants crowd around the field with die hard baseball fans.
5- The Second City
One of the first ever stand-up comedy clubs in the US & best known for giving comedians like Bill Murphy and Tina Fey a helping hand in the beginning of their careers. The club hosts rising comedians and even holds classes for anyone interested in starting a comedy career of their own.
You can even catch Amy Schumer enjoying shows there!
