Here's How You Can Get A FREE At Home COVID Test In LA County

According to KTLA 5, health officials announced on Monday that Los Angeles County has launched a new COVID-19 pick-up testing program to help increase access of testing for residents due to the high demand brought on by the surge of the omicron variant of COVID.

The L.A. County Department of Health Services said that the program allows residents to pick up a PCR test kit from select locations, take the test, and then return the completed test kit to the same site for processing. The kits are to be used and returned within 3-5 days of receiving the test kit. The results will be emailed to the residents email from Fulgent Genetics within 24-48 hours and will test for COVID-19 as well as Influenza (A and B).

The new pick-up program will be managed at 13 testing sites across L.A. County. You don't need to make an appointment for the kits but the daily supplies are limited. The kits will be available to all L.A. County residents who either experience symptoms or have been exposed to someone with Covid-19.
