Yankee Candle Just Revealed Their First Ever 'Scent of the Year'

Companies have started a trend of naming the item of the year that they make - I mean, Pantone has been naming the color of the year for a while now, and I always love finding out what they're going to choose.

And now Yankee Candle has jumped on board and named their first-ever SCENT of the year. And not only is it a scent, but also a message I think we all can stand behind in this new year.

The scent chosen is called: One Together.

Leading up to the announcement of the scent, Yankee posted hints on their Instagram accounts.

The first hint shared that it was inspired by "current trends."

Then it was hinted about where the main fragrance originates from.

And then they shared the big reveal of the name and details on the scent's availability (which by the way, is limited!!)

I love the message they're sending with the name of the candle - remaining connected through our "individual journeys."

Now that we know the name of the scent though... I really want to know more about how it actually smells! I LOOOVE having candles lit in the house (at least when the babies are asleep or I can put them up out of the way somewhere) so I might have to get one of these new limited-edition candles for the house.

Yankee decided to start this new tradition in celebration of their FIFTY years in the candle business.

The scent of the year candle is available in two different forms, just for your candle-consuming needs. You have the choice of the large two-wick tumbler or the large classic jar. Each are 20-ounce candles in an off-white jar with a gold lid and typically burns for 75 to 110 hours (that's a lot of hours!)
