Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Donate Year's Worth Of Food To School

US-OSCARS-VANITYFAIR-PARTY

Thanks to our favorite couple out there, kids at one Tennessee elementary school don't have to worry about what they're going to eat, or if they're going to eat at all.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez just donated a year's worth of food to the school to assure all the kids are able to eat worry-free for the next year.

The engaged couple saw a viral post from a teacher who shared that one of her students often goes hungry. And since the couple now has a line of their own frozen meals, Tiller & Hatch, they saw this as an opportunity to donate a YEAR'S worth of food to the Jacksboro Elementary food pantry.

The teacher's post on Facebook earlier this month shared that the student told her he was out of food at home and needed from school.

In the viral post, the teacher named Brooke Goins shared a photo of her shopping cart filled with kid-friendly food and snacks and wrote:

"Today I cried at work. Not because I hate my job, or that it is just too hard (it really is). Today I cried for a child, a child who so innocently talked about food, and the lack of it.

He asked when the lady that puts food in his backpack was coming. It caught me off guard, because it is our guidance counselor and I wasn’t sure what he needed. I told him I wasn’t sure about this week since it is a short week. He told me he was out of it at home and needed more."

You can click on the post to read the rest of the message because honestly, it's going to bring me to tears just reading it right now.

After seeing that Brooke and other teachers at the school were supplying the kids at the school with food to take home, JLo and ARod stepped up to help the kids (and the teachers).

This story just warms my heart. No kid deserves to be hungry. Thank you Jen and Alex for helping these kids out!
