Starbucks has a rather lofty goal: By 2030, it wants to no longer use disposable cups.
The coffee giant is testing ways of making this possible.
As part of a pilot program in Tempe, Ariz., a Starbucks location on the campus of Arizona State University offers $1 off any drink if you bring your own reusable cup.
Additionally, if you don’t bring your own cup, that location will make your drink in a reusable cup. If you return it, you can get $1 off your next drink.
These cups can also be returned to special drop-off bins on campus, where the cups will be washed, sanitized and reused.
Do you think Starbucks will be able to reach this goal by 2030?
